You can easily found this problem in the public internet shop, when you use your USB at the public shop, your USB can be infected by virus.

Of course when you back home or re-use USB on your laptop, you have to scan virus before using the USB by some antivirus program such as Kaspersky.

In case your computer got infected, or you accidentally double click on the USB and active virus, everything become terrible: every files, data in your drive totally disappeared... But, there is a solution:

Step 1: Using your ghost file to restore the computer or re-install windows to remove virus from system. (You can skip this step, but to remove 100% virus you should do this)

Step 2: Don't access any drive to prevent virus spreading. Download Virus Removal Tools... I suggest using Kaspersky Virus Removal Tools (FREE, download at http://www.kaspersky.com/antivirus-removal-tool?form=1, you should re-download if you already has it. Scan the computer (should use Full-Scan).

Step 3: Remove all shortcut file in drive ( except Desktop, because maybe in desktop still contains shorcut file from your installed programs), don't worry about losing data, it was hidden by virus. Go to Start menu -> Run (or press Windows-R), type cmd and press Enter.

Type the command below and press Enter:
attrib -s -r -h x:\*.* /s /d
("x" is the drive you want to restore all of hidden files, example: drive C so "x" is "C")

Wish you success. Any problem, feel free to leave comment.
